Under the radar - hospital management is boring innit - the #NHS has completely transformed provision to ensure #COVID19 can be managed. Specialists have been redeployed to medical wards, buildings repurposed #cummingsbriefing

Now the task is to keep the #COVID19 facilities running, while re-starting ALL the treatments and diagnostics that were delayed by the #pandemic. And be ready for any resurgence. This is no small task. Why the #Cummings story matters.

The #NHS can do this for each local population. But not not if significant populations of outsiders coming roll in It's going to be vulnerable for a while. Don't be surprisd to see targeted restrictions over the summer to protect #NHS capacity.

I was really disappointed no journalist had clocked this enough to ask at the (rather repetitive) #cummingsbriefing . Brits love the #NHS - we need to get this message out now that the #lockdown messaging is so avoidably now in chaos #cummings #Secondhome #lockdown
