Multiple “superspreading events” have occurred in the #CoronavirusPandemic:

▶️61 cases in a #WA choir
▶️800 cases in a Singapore dorm
▶️80 cases at a music venue in #Japan
▶️Ships, nursing homes, meatpacking plants, ski resorts, churches, restaurants, hospitals, and prisons
Superspreading events are ill-understood and difficult to study, but there is a much higher risk in enclosed spaces than outside. Outside the #Wuhan region in #China, there were 318 clusters of ≥3 cases btwn 4 JAN and 11 FEB: only 1 originated outdoors.💥
