The number of reported coronavirus infections in Germany has risen to 422,586. According to the information from the state authorities of 14 of the 16 federal states evaluated by me, 12,754 new cases were added within 24 hours.
The number of reported coronavirus infections in Germany has risen to 422,586. According to the information from the state authorities of 14 of the 16 federal states evaluated by me, 12,754 new cases were added within 24 hours.
Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt do not publish case numbers at the state level at the weekend. The number of deaths related to infection rose 35 to 10,013. Around 100,700 people are currently infected.
Due to a data breach at the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the current figures include late registrations. Currently there are only five federal states below a seven-day incidence of 50. These include Brandenburg (43.8), Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (28.5), Saxony-Anhalt (28.3),
Schleswig-Holstein (35.8) and Thuringia (35.1). The incidence is still highest in the city states of Berlin (127.9) and Bremen (114.9). Several federal states are now reporting a four-digit increase in new infections for the past 24 hours: Baden-Württemberg (1647),
Bavaria (2136), Hesse (1730) and North Rhine-Westphalia (4370).
