A Chinese state electrical engineering company and its affiliate have been sanctioned by the World Bank over fraudulent activities in a power project in Zambia.
The action bars China Electric Design and Research Institute Co Ltd (CEDRI) from participating for up to 18 months in World Bank projects with the option to meet new conditions of compliance and to remove the ban.
