Wow!

In the Netherlands, a train has run through the buffers in Spijkenisse, onto an artwork called Whale Tails.

The train driver was taken to hospital for a check-up.

Incredibly, the name of this piece of art which appears to have saved several lives today, actually is "Saved by a Whale’s Tail"!

Last month, @RishiSunak said musicians & artists who can't work due to #COVID19, “should retrain & find other jobs"

Perhaps, there's a message here.
The "art can save your life" quote is by an little known writer/artist/inventor & possible spy, whose life I have been researching.

Another quote of his - also about whales - makes me think of #Trump, #BorisJohnson, #Cummings, #SteveBannon, #Farage etc.
There are growing calls to leave part of the Dutch Metro train that ran the buffers only to be saved by an artwork called "Saved By The Whale's Tail" as a permanent art installation.

However, reports suggest local officials will remove it at 7am tomorrow. #BREAKING #SaveTheWhale

#BREAKING: England to enter second national lockdown for a month from Thursday 5th November

Hear the details from @BorisJohnson here. #CovidUK #Lockdown2 #lockdown #coronavirus #BreakingNews #BorisJohnson
This is terrifying!

#BorisJohnson says even if the NHS had DOUBLE the capacity it still wouldn’t be enough

The NHS has 150,000 beds & with the Nightgale Hospitals there is even greater capacity

Its biggest weakness isn't space, it's staff shortages.
#Lockdown2 #covidbriefing
The reality of “Yo-Yo” #lockdown has been known about since May👇

Govt scientists have modelled for 2nd, 3rd, 4th waves etc. but this modelling was not shared publicly by the secretive #JointBiosecurityCentre running the UK #COVID19 response.

Wow!

Conservative MP, @BBradley_Mans joins the #FreeSchoolMeals debate.

He later deleted these tweets.
It is worth remembering that Ben Bradley also holds the Conservative record for the most retweeted post (his apology to Jeremy Corbyn) & the best introduction to a politician ever (@krishgm on @Channel4News)
“I wish people would stop saying ‘let's not politicise the issue of school meals’. If the fact that children are going hungry in one of the world's richest, developed countries is not a 'political' issue, what is?” @sturdyAlex

Last weekend, I set off the find the source of the River Fleet - London’s most famous subterranean waterway

It rises in separate springs on Hampstead Heath & flows underground along two brooks which meet in Kentish Town & eventually join the River Thames.
The sources of the Fleet are springs in the Vale of Health (see other THREAD) & this one in Kenwood, (‘Caen’ meaning green).

Of all London’s lost rivers, the Fleet was the largest & most important providing water for drinking, washing, powering mills & transportation & sewerage.
In Roman, Anglo Saxon & Medieval times the Fleet was a major river

As London’s population grew, its flow was reduced &, over the centuries, it became clogged with waste & sewerage

In 1870, the last stretch of the Fleet was covered up but on the Heath it still runs above ground

Rupert Soames, CEO of #Serco insists itS “NHS test-&-trace"

In reality, its executive committee has just 1 public health expert & it is run by 2 private companies

Serco is one of them & this week its shares surged by 18%

Soames suggests mentioning this makes you an anti-vaxxer
“Serco is only delivering a contact tracing rate of 68.1% & SAGE has said we need a rate of 80%” @DrRosena

@rsoames claims this is based on “fake data”

But Serco don't reach more than 20% of positive cases & of those they reach, 15% provide no contacts.
Ystdy, @rsoames was furious at the suggestion #Serco Test & Trace is failing & that “his incompetence was only match by his girth”

Today, the govt are advertising for managers with experience of “turning around failing call centres”

Rate upto £2,000/day! jobs.telegraph.co.uk/job/11580381/s… Image
