@6abc has arrested two men who drove up from Virginia with guns to attack the #ConventionCenter. There is now a huge police presence at the Convention Center in Center City.

Philly PD have surrounded the Convention Center after arresting several men who drove up from Virginia with guns to attack those counting votes in #Philly.
This is an evolving news story that I will update as more details become available.

I have checked and been told votes continue to be counted in #Philly. The Philly police are patrolling the Convention Center in case anyone else attempts to interfere with the vote count.

I was paralyzed 2mos before the 2016 election. Every day of Trump's assault on #healthcare has harmed me personally and put terrible stress on my family. Trump ending the #ACA mandate raised the premiums of 56M Americans. Mine went from $231 a month to $1,978.10.

My wife had to take a 2nd job & take out a loan to pay this incredible amount of money: I was too sick to not have health insurance. The past four years have assaulted our mixed race lesbian family every day. Trump also targeted our sanctuary city and some of our friends.

I reported so many stories of people getting sicker, poorer, homeless under Trump's dangerous policies. I wrote about the Muslim ban, the trans ban, the kids in cages, the accusations of sexual harassment and assault, the attacks on LGBTQ people. The white nationalism. COVID.

#UPDATE on #Pennsylvania: Trump's edge is being winnowed down. There are now only 142k votes between Biden and Trump. Trump still leads BUT the mail-ins are leaning more than 80% Biden, so we are on board for him to take #PA. More data to come from the SoS late today.
My latest data is that the near #Philly suburbs are trending Biden. These trended Trump in 2016 among white voters.
There will be a #CountEveryVote rally in #Philly this afternoon AND a #STOPTHECOUNT rally.

Also, Trump is working to stop the count in #PA. That may slow counting but won't end it. Right now Biden is over 80% in #Philly. Hillary had 85% in 2016 and we know there were many more votes this year because of mail-in ballots. About 8% more. So that would give Biden 8% more.

THIRTY NINE PERCENT of folks who requested mail-in ballots in #PA, possibly THE most pivotal swing state, have not returned them. Do it today or Monday at a drop box location or your county elections office. Otherwise make a plan to #vote in person on Tuesday, #ElectionDay
The weather is going to be GORGEOUS on Tuesday, #ElectionDay, in #PA. Not like the torrential rain we are having now. So it will be okay for standing in line.

Earlier Wednesday evening I called out Bakari Sellers for saying Hillary was the most unpopular candidate on CNN. We have to quit that GOP narrative about 2016. I had to go back to work, but Bakari reached out to me privately to clarify his point, saying that he "loves HRC."

Bakari said he was referencing Hillary's unfavorables, and noted they were a factor of Benghazi, misogyny, etc. I said I appreciated his reaching out, but that was not what was actually said. I wanted to share this because Bakari is such a good guy and we love him so much.

I said we can't shortcut misogyny out of the conversation about 2016, because it defined the race. Hillary was the first woman presidential nominee in 240yrs. We can't side-step the enormity of studies showing people distrust women candidates and the impact of that on her.

It's funny that I said "please don't send me tweets about 'good Republicans'" and then folks tried to claim GOP was good before Trump, which is ahistorical. THE worst racist president in modern history was Reagan, who was also the most corrupt with 181 indictments of his admin.
In fact, Bill Barr, our current AG was AG under Bush1 and his first order of business was to arrange pardons for a bazillion Reagan-Bush folks involved in and indicted in Iran-Contra. Bush1 was involved in myriad covert wars as CIA head. Nixon was in fact a crook.
Eisenhower's first EO was the horrendous EO10450 which outed and fired thousands of lesbians and gay men. Eisenhower --a rabid anti-Communist--executed the Rosenberg and watched Joe McCarthy with glee. So your claims that racists and bigots are "good" is counterfactual.

THREAD 📌I am so angry and so upset. Like 131M other Americans, I am seriously ill. Forgive me if I don't feel up to coddling folks whose sense of entitlement put us here. When Democrats don't vote for Democrats they give us Republican rule, which is 98% rich white cis het guys.
These are the facts. The party that thinks corporations are people and has ONE Black member in the entire Congress just put their 204th lifetime appointment judge in office. These people will define our lives for the next 30yrs with Trump's policies. Of course I'm angry.
After McConnell completed his coup in the Senate, he adjourned the Senate till after #Election2020. No #stimulus for Americans without food, losing their homes and being evicted and with no more unemployment. Pelosi passed a bill MONTHS ago that he refused to vote on.
