Hi Kiran, Im sorry 4 ur loss. Ur statements R real, not bluff. Thank U 4 sharing ur father's (RIP) report of liver #cancer.

1/ Nw, coming back to ur original statement.
Modern #medicine said dad wil hav 8 mo to survive, but #homeopathy gave him 4 yrs.

2/ Im stil convinced #homeopathy did not work

And I knw Y U felt tat way

I blame UR oncologist - he mayB gud wit diagnosis, but he has no insight & communication skils

I blame ur #homeopath.
He is a quack but gud with communication skills

Want to knw why? Let me xplain👇
3/
Be4 we start, chek this figure from @nature
This shows latest guidelines on treatment of #liver cancer, survival and options.
Luk at stage 0 and stage A [stable #cirrhosis, early disease)
Survival > 10 yr - transplant
Survival > 6 yr - removal surgery, tumor burn (ablation)
4/
Now just on the basis of the biopsy report u send me, I analysed the following

Patient was fit2 undergo std liver biopsy - meaning no jaundice, no fluid in belly (ascites), no abnormal bleeding, no cancer beyond liver & possibly single tumor - possibly early liver disease
5/
Now like in a true crime investigation, one must remember that there are important parts which are absent face value
These are 'redacted facts'

For eg, U didnt mention if patient underwent modern treatments - tumor burn, surgical removal, other medicines etc + #homeopathy use
6/
Now another imp part is tumor biology - small liver tumor in early liv disease/ stable chronic liver disease which are biologically inactive hav better outcomes - as per biopsy report it is 'well differentiated' or mature tumor which means, it may not B very aggressive
7/
BUT, we shud hav a blood test called alfa-feto protein (or AFP) to see biological activity - this report isnt available frm you

But from the biopsy report, well-differentiated, mature tumors are usually AFP negative - this itself shows that survival was better in the patient
8/
So we have an early liver cancer in an early liver disease with a good clinical outcome ALREADY in place
Check back at chart

So ur father didnt hav advanced liver cancer or stage 4. This statement is wrong

But he did hav cirrhosis - which is Y he died in 4 yrs
#livertwitter
9/
Nw the oncologist - like most doctors, he played safe. Gave U the worst scenario and tried to reap the benefits of patient surviving longer. Poor communication, poor patient and family rapport on discussing real outcomes. One must be compassionate. Not drastic/dramatic.
10/
Nw #Homeopathy guy. He is smart/ doesnt know wat is happening, no clue abt treating #CANCER. S keeps quiet. Probbaly wud hav told, vaguely, dnt worry, everything will be fine/ then gav U water+sugar pills - these didnt harm, neither did gud -bcoz the disease is naturally SLOW
11/
So frm biopsy U shared
Conclusions
Oncologist diagnosed correctly, failed 2 discuss outcomes properly - was too dramatic
#Homeopath -ignorance is bliss mode
Tuk advantage of Oncologists's drama & gaind ur confidence, let nature play it out
#homepoathy doesn't work

1/A retired #oncology professor from a Govt. College. Now dabbles in #Ayurveda. Runs an 'ashram' in Kerala to 'treat' #cancer patients. He refers a patient with BCLC-C stage liver cancer 2me. A nice letter 4 further management. Patient has advanced cancer
Systemic therapy option+
2/ I spent 50 mins with patient/family - discuss prognosis, comfort care - the works. Once patient left 4som blood tests, I tell family, separately, regarding end of life care, once the time comes. They wer sad but contend. Very crunched 4money. So best option - they cudnt afford
3/ Best approved option for advanced liver cancer is Atezo+Bevaci - too expensive. So they tuk next good option - Lenvatinib - affordable for them. I sent a detailed letter with plans, along with patient son, to the evidence-based turned #ayurveda oncology professor.

1/I'm really not sure what you are getting at. You sound sweet, but ur intentions with respect to medical care are not ideal, SEEMS like u r trying to legitimatize quackery (not sure if u r an ayush practitioner-plz confirm)
This is not welcome and unacceptable behavior.
2/ What does it mean /in their own areas/ this is very concerning. Are you promoting quackery? Do u kno principles of AYU & Siddha. They are highly unscientific. Feels like U R somehow trying to speak pseudoscience without actually speaking pseudoscience - an #AYUSH sympathizer.
3/
There is no role called adjuvant.
It doesn't make sense. Don't understand why U wud keep talking on this topic wen its clear tat integrative medicine is unscientific. A hoax of wellness industry to fraud people. I wish you wud rose above this. Tc. I hav nothing more to add.

1/A horrific patient scene today. A #kidney #transplant patient doing well since 2015. Had fall and fracture of foot. Underwent surgery, improving. Asked for physio sessions to continue at home. Asks around, finds #ayurvedic traditional healer. He does external works.
2/ patient feels better. #Ayurveda healer gets his trust. Says post transplant infections and diabetes worsen (patient was already diabetic kidney disease for which transplant was done). Says #natural is safest way. Patient falls for healers confidence. Starts #herbal drugs.
3/ Drugs and potions prepared at home from locally sourced plants. Small fee Healer also advise nutritional changes. More like starvation. No proteins. Remember patient is post kidney transplant. #weightloss in 1 mo. Loss of appetite in 2 months. Then came something unexpected.

On 18.12.2020, computer engineer @FitTuber shared @YouTube video titled "10 Safe & Useful Ayurvedic Tablets to Replace Allopathic Pills (Instant Relief)". The drugs he promoted were by @baidyanathgroup, not sure if it was paid promotion. I bought them:
10 drugs, details, batch numbers R given in pic👇. All by @baidyanathgroup exept 1 by unjhaayurvedicpharmacy.com
We did GCMSMS, ICP-OES and FTIR analyses on these samples. Here are my 10 safer modern medicine alternatives 2 @FitTuber's untested, potentially harmful #Ayurvedic drugs
Kanthsudharak Vati by Unjha Pharma
@FitTuber: 4 sorethroat, cold, cough
Analysis: Lead 0.54 mg/kg, Cadmium 0.4 mg/kg, Thallium 0.71 mg/kg and industrial phenols.
Low values, but not ideal.

Safe alternative: Levocetrizine & non-sedative cough syrup Levodropropizine
