Hoping for lower rates of hospitalizations, *HOWEVER* as cases increase rapidly+exponentially then there is definitely still a risk of straining healthcare capacity/resources & overwhelming hospital capacity/ICUs.

I know there is debate over boosters because of global vaccine inequity. Additionally, many Canadians who may benefit from a booster (people with medical conditions/disabilities) do not yet have access, & many people around the world cannot even access a 1st dose.
However, in *some* countries/areas with low vaccination rates & high cases, there is ample supply but still vaccine hesitancy.
Even locally, we are now worried again about rising ICU usage for severe COVID-19 infections mostly in unvaccinated people. cnn.com/2021/10/01/eur…
