VERY Fast is amazing @GeromanAT who has done great work since the #Syrian war. Even though i just reactivated my account after not using it for years, he seems to have worked since then tirelessly, compared to my lazy ass. Absolutely follow him for anything #MENA #Russia #Iran

Also great is @A7_Mirza with high quality and reasonably fast #maps. Not only for #Ukraine but for #MENA #Iraq #Iran #Syria #Afghanistan #Yemen

1/ A classic: Southfront DOT org. Even though they are censored by social media and sanctioned by #US as #RussianPropaganda their maps and war coverage is VERY fast, high quality maps and generally pretty reliable (from a Russian viewpoint).

2/ They were started at the start of #UkraineCivilWar and Russian entry into #SyrianWar (hence the name, southern Russian front). Was/Is the leading OSINT/war news site. Often has reported details not available by OSINT, that later were verified by OSINT.

3/ Seems to be based in Crimea, mild #Russian Nationalist viewpoint, US alleged GRU operation. IMHO definitely they have contacts with #Russian think tanks, military. After #US sanctioned them 1-2 years ago, funding dried up seemingly, now quality has gone down,

4/ but maps and war reporting are still fast and useable. Just use adblock, and ignore the sponsored articles for bitcoin. Guest author articles are now mostly trash, before they had great translations from Russian think tanks etc.

IMPORTANT: @Liveuamap is so biased, it has become a meme. It is basicly just visualizing the comically absurd claims of the @DefenceU. Many Years ago they were one of the only maps sources, but we have much better options now.

Sorry, i forgot: @gbazov who is also very fast, visualizing even smaller movements fast. Plus @NuestraIraSLG who aggregates other maps also very fast.
