2 rounds of Track 1.5 talks. Interestingly, statement said Wang presented "China's principled position" in #UkraineRussianWar, says "everybody hopes for a ceasefire...but one should not add fuel to the fire...and refrain from maximum pressure," referring to #Russia sanctions.4/9

When it comes to #Taiwan, #Israel is by no means the most forward-leaning country so I wonder why Wang Yi chooses to raise this subject now - perhaps sensing #US pressure on #Israel to do more re Taiwan? (as far as I know, there IS such pressure). @BonnieGlaser 8/9
