#Ukraine's South Division stated in its morning update the bridge near the Kakhovka Hydroelectric plant was the latest hit.
Some locals report this bridge is still being used but it's probably not safe for heavy vehicles.
There are more explosions reported now in #Lyubimivka
1/2 Not much movement lately on the eastern front with #Russia still struggling to make ground against #Ukraine's defences.
The invaders remain on the outskirts of #Bakhmut but by their own admission they are firebombing everything, even graveyards in the city in #Donetsk region
2/2
#Russia's Defence update says they "hit Chasovoy Yar, Pereezdny, Sporne, Yakovlevka and Vershiny in #Artemovsk (Ukr: #Bakhmut) direction."
They also carried out airstrikes on #Ukraine's Forces in Soledar, Zaitsevo and Vesela Dolina.

Another 200 of #Putin's cannon fodder "relieved of duty" and De-Nazified.
#Ukraine's Air Defence claims it's downed another of #Russia's Su-25 jets.
The United Forces Group, operating in the east, says it's also destroyed another 4 drones in the last 24 hours. They released these photos, which I cannot verify.
A prisoner swap deal between #Russia and the #USA seems a little closer today.
It's likely to involve basketball star Brittney Griner, former marine Paul Whelan and illegal arms-dealer Viktor Bout.
Satellite images published by @Maxar from the Zyabrovka airfield in #Belarus seem to confirm there likely was a (serious) engine problem and single explosion. Either that or sabotage/suicide.
Numerous artillery strikes in #Ukraine's northern oblasts of #Sumy and #Chernihiv.
Both regions were occupied in the early days of the war, five months ago.
Photos show latest damage to the villages of Senkivka + Gremyach (Chernihiv) and Basivka + Kindrativka (Sumy)
Previously it was repeatedly claimed by occupiers of #Donetsk as well as Chechen and other divisions. But this is the first time Moscow has definitively announced the total capture.
#Russia's Defence briefing also claims they've destroyed another #HIMARS system along with "up to 60 missiles"
Another two #Ukraine Mi-24 helicopters were also supposedly shot down in #Mykolaiv region.
Obviously nothing from any🇷🇺 briefing is verified
Today I've had two more contacts confirm the info that #Russia's occupiers are stealing cars in #Ukraine and trying to take them initially to Russia then beyond.
As one wrote "they are stealing everything possible, probably in preparation of leaving"
Another unverified report of sabotage inside occupied #Ukraine
Ex-Mayoral adviser to #Mariupol, Petro Andryushchenko says the whole city heard the explosion at a scrap metal place.
"We punish the greed of the occupiers with the ingenuity of the Mariupol resistance."
#Montenegro has declared #Russias ambassador to the country as "persona non grata"
He has 7 days to leave the country.
Montenegro says Vladislav Maslenikov was carrying out activities in contravention of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Communications
Just a senior "church" member breaking the Geneva Convention, sanctioning war crimes
Bishop Leonid Gorbachev of Russia's Orthodox Church, posted a video humiliating #Ukraine prisoners of war - forcing them to sing, stood on a table in front of 🇷🇺 flag
Day 1201 of Europe's war.
But the pre-conflict hybrid war has already been waging worldwide for years. Hacking, election interference, sabotage - we're all targeted by Russia, even if we don't all realise it yet.
Ukraine can stop the war criminal with our help.
Welcome to the🧵
Maybe Sunday will bless Ukraine with a quiet day?
Saturday was another full-on journalistic stint, catching sleep when I could.
Kharkiv shattered overnight then a daytime attack on a kids' railway.
Operation Web 2.0 & a factory hit in Russia.
It's all ⬇️
1/2 Early this morning, just before the end of the previous thread I showed the Azot chemical plant in Tula region on fire.
Not long afterwards, Ukraine hit another facility, this time in Russia-controlled 🇺🇦
This is the Hydromash factory in Melitopol' in occupied Zaporizhzhia.
Day 1194 of Putin's war, though let's remember the initial invasion came 11 years ago.
Since February 2014, not once have western sanctions or military support come close to being enough to restore justice and defeat evil.
Welcome to THE daily 🇺🇦 thread for Sunday 1 June
A new day, a new season. Summer officially started, but nothing is likely to change just yet.
Y'day's thread had some great stories, but everything paled into insignificance when justy before midnight came news of a disaster in Russia's Bryansk region:
Another night of no sleep yet - dramatic action in Moscow.
Time to start another daily thread covering everything to do with Putin's disastrous 'operation' in Ukraine.
It's 5am in Russia and Ukraine, on Day 1190 of the war.
Let's begin...
I've still NEVER missed even one day since the start of Russia's full invasion.
But yesterday's thread ended up being one of the most lively. Another near 50-post story of the day, and if you like seeing "bavovna" in Russia, go right through to the end!
Good morning on Day 1176 of the war in Europe.
In my opinion, Ukraine should have won this war in 2022/23.
Effective leadership is based on good, decisive decisions. Sadly, the allies have never been decisive, preferring dithering and half measures.
Welcome to my daily thread:
What I mean by dithering is endless internal political battles in most countries to give adequate weapons. Scholz (Taurus), Biden (everything) the most obvious examples, though Joe was hampered by Congress and is way better than now
But it's always enough to survive, not to win
If you missed anything from yesterday, catch up with this link to the start of yesterday's thread. Scroll down to where you got to and complete your knowledge!
