It is reported that the delegation headed by Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu will be in Tripoli, Libya tomorrow to sign agreements with the Libyan government in the fields of defence, oil (EEZ lease to Turkiye on Gas ) and trade.

With the current natural gas discoveries and those that will be discovered within Turkiye‘s EEZ , it could be very beneficial to the European countries that don’t want to rely on Russian gas anymore which Turkiye and others being able to replace Russia for decades to come.
Turkiye‘s Black Sea natural gas explorations have already hit on large natural gas wells which is planned to be used domestically Q1 2023 which the amount of natural gas could meet Turkiye‘s demands for more then 15 years.

Also, Turkiye has the largest state owned seismic research and drilling ships on its inventory that will speed up explorations in the Mediterranean Sea, Black Sea and the Aegean Sea.

With now Israel and Turkiye’s normalized relations we might even see a EEZ deal in the near future and the same could be said between Turkiye’s and Egyptian relations that could also lead to a EEZ that could most definitely benefit all parties involved.

The Greek Egyptian EEZ deal is considered as null void since the Agreement is violating and overlapping the Turkish Libyan EEZ that was made many months ago before Greece and Egypt signing the so called „EEZ deal“.
