Dear @UN,

Some of our gov't just decided that our Commission on Human Rights (@CHRPhilippines) deserves a budget of P1,000 next year.
If you're still pushing for probing, please know many of us Filipinos here are strongly for it.
So many human rights here have already been violated. Killings are rising and, icymi, some of the latest victims are teenagers.
released a statement expressing their want to seek justice for Kian (17) and Carl (19) WITH the government.
I'm all for sovereignty but what my country's budget goes to reflects what values the Philippines believes in.
So, I'm calling them out as a concerned citizen and tagging you and various international media also.
-- and local news, too. They already know these details but I also want them to see I'm just one of many expressing dismay over this.
We all have our role to play in vigilance and forming the values of our country and I am expressing that genuinely as a concerned citizen.
We are a good people. There are many in this country who believe in human rights, in due process, in decency, IN JUSTICE.
And, whatever dirty secrets some members of this gov't is keeping, I promise you I will still help this country back on its feet.
Expose us, probe us, push and get every single story we need to hear-- because if some in this gov't think the stories of individuals can
be ignored or rationalized for some 'greater good'-- well, then they're absolutely wrong.
Millennials like me didn't remain silent with the Marcos burial, the rising EJK numbers, the death penalty. And we won't for this either.
So, if you want one more story on fighting for the country (even from itself sometimes), here it is.
And, I'll do it without an insulting P1,000 budget.

Because the lives of so many Filipinos & my country is worth a hell lot more than that.
