I would have maybe tried to have leveraged the success you had with Next Step to “pivot” to something that could be properly monetized.
You said “I had convinced 3300 users in 2 months, without too much effort!” - that’s some insane traction! I would have hung onto that and
tried to find some way to build from that. Either a premium offering or a cross sell to something those users would be willing to pay for.
So I would have tried to grow that somehow. Also, it can take months or years to see huge traction. I would have held out longer on it while
*maybe* trying out some other ideas in a related niche to try and get cross-marketing efforts to work out. I also would probably have
not put too much stock in the Kickstarter campaign results. Most things you try won’t work, doesn’t mean that your product can’t work.
But all in all, I think you wound up getting a ton of *real-world* experience by doing all of this, and *that* is what will help you in your
next endeavor. By even launching these products and making some money from them, you’re so much farther ahead than so many others.
I say try to learn what you can from your experiences, but don’t beat yourself up. You did good! Figure out what’s next for yourself and
move onto the next thing. That’s how you ultimately win - by doing, learning, and adjusting until you get where you want to be.
