2. Not only this, the SC only on Sep 12, 2017 said that data at its perusal does not warrant a full ban!
Then Why was it banned on Oct 9th?

5. So, the Hon'ble SC by banning Crackers was only giving effect to what the 'consensus' against crackers already prevailing in the country!

6. From Sept 12 to Oct 9th - in less than 29 days, What prompted SC to change its own judgment?
New data? No!
New Research? No!
Then what?

7. Hold ur breath - what prompted the change was "emphatic & passionate plea" by the Counsel for the petitioners.

8. It was probably this very "emphatic & passionate" plea that led the court to also conclude that Diwali Fireworks were Choking the City!

9. Coz as already shown in Tweet 1 of the thread the study by IIT Kanpur did not point out Diwali as reason for Delhi's air pollution.

A) How did the Hon’ble Court get to know of this ‘virtual consensus?’
