No matter where you live, we need YOU to help make the #BlueWave a reality. Here’s what you can do:
One of most effective actions you can take is to phone bank. Don’t stop reading. You can do it. Let me show you how.
Now, I know some of you start of feel like this when you think about making calls:
Let me put your mind at ease First, let me ask you this. How would you feel if your calls led to a seat that turned blue?
Yeah, I thought so. In so many races, the difference between winning and losing is turnout. Plain and simple. That’s where we come in.
We have the voters. But we’ve been especially bad at getting them to vote in non-presidential elections. Look: 
The research is clear. The most effective way to increase the number of people voting is with personal calls right before an election.
Phone banking is not about convincing anyone of anything — it’s about having brief chats with already committed voters.
Ok? So let’s do this.
Your candidate’s campaign will give you access to their phone bank system & give you a script to guide you.
You will call a registered voter and tell them you’re volunteering for the campaign. You’ll ask them if you can count on their vote.
If they are voting for your candidate, make sure they know where their polling place is. (The campaign will give you that info.)
Thank them and hang up. Seriously, that’s it!
You’ll get a lot of answering machines. The campaign will most likely tell you not to leave a message. (So someone else can try later.)
Smile as you make the call. (You’ll sound friendlier.) Speak clearly. Treat everyone with respect.
The campaign will only give you #s for folks they know are supportive. They want a Democrat to win too! They tend to be nice.
Bonus: Your call helps the voter hear, firsthand, that they are part of a larger community who also support the candidate.
Start with a couple of calls then take a break. Then make a few more. There’s no pressure to make a gazillion calls.
But just like small donations can add up, a few phone calls to registered voters can add up, too.
Research shows that personal contact from voter to voter makes a statistical difference in getting out the vote.
