Shamsul Haque was marked a "doubtful voter" in the year 1997 by Election Commission, without any investigation whatsoever. MODUS OPERANDI

For 19 years he was disfranchised, humiliated for being a "doubtful citizen". So what he was serving in Indian Air Force.

Assam Police forwarded his case to Tribunal.

Tribunal sent him notice alleging that he came to India illegally after 25th March 1971

On 27.05.2016 the ForeignersTribunal after perusing all documents held him an Indian citizen

Hold your Horses. Not only Mr.Haque,even his wife was accused of being an illegal immigrant.Later Tribunal declared her an Indian citizen

Son,daughter of Mr.Haque works in US. Son in hospitality sector &daughter is a software engineer. Thr success is tight slap on persecutors

Just imagine if IndianArmy, AirForce, AssamPolice Officers r being asked to prove citizenship,what could be the condition of normal citizens

Poor, illiterate citizens dragged to court without any prior investigation. ECI, Assam Police don't give a damn to Fundamental Rights

Genuine Indian citizens are declared a "foreigner" because of minor anomalies in name and age in voter list and other documents.

Kindly check pre 1971 voter lists and other docs, of your parents and grandparents. Are they error free?

Well, if there are minor errors, and if you are dragged to ForeignersTribunal, chances are high that you could be declared a "foreigner".
