1/ #Anki #srs has a concept of leeches: "cards that you keep on forgetting. Because they require so many reviews, they take up a lot more of your time than other cards." apps.ankiweb.net/docs/manual.ht…
2/ There are also leeches in your task manager: tasks that you keep on rescheduling / procrastinating.
3/ The Anki manual suggests a few options for dealing with #Anki leeches: prioritizing one card rather than another (in the case of interference); deleting the leech entirely; or changing the presentation of the card / making a new card.
4/ My question: what do you do with tasks that are leeches?
5/ Interference isn't relevant here, as far as I can see. Deleting the task is an option, in some cases. Re-framing the task seems like a good place to start. Are there any other strategies you use, or can think of?

D&D feels like a HUGE cheat, since that, for me, covers B/X, BECMI, AD&D 1st and 2nd Edition, 3rd, 4th, and 5th edition.

I also don't lump Pathfinder in there because despite being a similar rules base, I learned completely different things from how the game was supported.
Standard disclaimer--I tried to pick the top ten, but I've definitely been influenced by more games than this. Sometimes, in retrospect, but there have definitely been more than these 10 that had an impact.

Many people start a business without the intention of paying people poorly, crunching, cramming people into a small space, etc. Then it turns that way because $ pressure

If you want to treat people well you must get realistic about how the way you make money conflicts with that
Example:
- If you charge more for your product to big company, you will prioritize their needs over small companies, but if you charge a low price to all you can get distracted by selling all the time to keep head above water

There’s no magic ideal, it’s always about trade offs
Couple downsides of my business model:
- I can’t hire people because I would want them to be equal partners or get paid a lot and I can’t afford that easily
- I prioritize big companies’ needs, or mid-sized companies who say they can pay fast, because we don’t charge a flat rate

The use of spaced repetition memory systems has changed my life over the past couple of years. Here's a few things I've found helpful:
I've memorized about 9,000 cards, over 2 years.
The single biggest change is that memory is no longer a haphazard event, to be left to chance. Rather, I can guarantee I will remember something, with minimal effort: it makes memory a _choice_.
