1/ So the vast majority of comments to the FCC have been civil, and there's no place for bigotry or violence in this conversation.

That said, highlighting those that aren't civil serves a PR purpose.
2/ Pai and team know that progressive types' first instinct is to, quite empathically, denounce this kind of behavior.

That amplifies the message via retweets that this kind of behavior is going on, letting them push the narrative that net neutrality supporters are unhinged.
3/ Like his reality TV boss, Pai likes to do extremely unpopular things, then portray the backlash as the real problem -- while refusing to answer any of a million legitimate questions by those extremely upset by grotesque, industry-cozy policies.
4/ That doesn't mean I condone the small minority of people engaged in bigotry and threats. But this FCC is using these threats to try and portray the public's very legitimate concern as a hyperbolic, hysterical over-reaction. Its been a strategy all week.
