I admire Susan Collins (@SenatorCollins) in certain respects, but her upcoming vote for the #GOPTaxScam should end her political career.
And yes, I'm serious. The #GOPTaxScam bill is that reckless, dangerous, and destabilizing. A vote for it cannot be justified on *any* grounds.

2/ When you vote for a bill only 26% of Americans support, which gives a tax cut to the rich they didn't even ask for just so (a) Don Jr. can take another Africa trip to kill elephants, and (b) a few more single moms can be kicked off public assistance, you need to lose your job.
3/ Understand that *neither* the House *nor* the Senate bill had a 37% tax rate for the rich—it was *higher* in both bills—which *by definition* means that lobbyists slipped into the back room and said, "Well, the HOUSE may not want it, and the SENATE may not want it, but WE DO."
4/ And that further tax cut for the rich will *cost money and lives*. People will lose their healthcare; social services programs that give people an opportunity to survive long enough to thrive will lose all funding just so some shadowy lobbying group can get what they demanded.
