Senate Democrats have sent a letter complaining that they were "not consulted" about a hearing that not only had the ranking member agreed to.. but they had specifically agreed to "not to object to the timing of hearings scheduled."

#Christmas is a day of remembrance and strengthening family bonds. The border wall behind me cuts those bonds. It disintegrates families seeking inalienable dignity.

It is a monument to bigotry, a piece of physical xenophobia.

Tonight, entire families hunker down in a tent city not a hundred yards from where this picture was taken, their futures deliberately made cruelly uncertain, and still our government throws up more walls of bureaucracy designed to break the spirit under a huge "closed" sign.

(2) My microblogging effort here, in this wonderful platform, has seen a spectacular surge of interest and a correspondent increase in the number of followers. Wonderful Christmas gift, of course! But it doesn't come without its price.
(3) I've had to block over 250 people (quite a few where fake people/bots) over the last few days. That is not unheard of. (I remember a day when Thomas Wictor blocked about a thousand Japanese Manga fans.)
