(1) So, random ass thread before the weekend when I go driving to family for Christmas.
(2) My profile picture? A grinning piece of fudge. Literally. A bit character from the show Drawn Together, a show from a couple years ago that in this year would have caused literal fucking meltdowns
(3) So why that avatar? Well, for one, I have had multiple libbot trolls think its literally a massive piece of shit and equates that with me, which tickles me to no end
(4) For two, initially, I planned on just trolling from this account. That is, until Wictor started retweeting a few of my less sarcastic comments and people started taking me seriously 0.o
(5) For real, coming onto Twitter I assumed I was entering strictly hostile territory. It is not widely known that the group of profiles I refer to as the Conservative Twitter Intelligentsia exists.
(6) Not that Twitter and intelligent rational discussions are usually associated with one another, much less an actual group of academics and the assorted dingleberry accounts like mine that hang from them
(7) But the forreal main reason I now keep this avatar? Because I want to emphasize: I don't take things too seriously. I don't like getting mad.
(8) I'm the guy behind you in the checkout line who, after you get into a conversation with the cashier that runs for like five minutes after you've already bagged the groceries will just shrug and say, "S'all good."
(9) My thread yesterday, well, there's a lot of human rights abuses, a shitton of corruption, and a lot of that ties into the Clintons.
(10) Perpetuated civil wars, secret police killing journalists, dirty politicians rigging 20 years of elections, more dead journalists on another freaking continent, genocide, black market organs, sex trafficking
(11) There's a lot to be upset about. But, does any of us getting mad do anything?
(12) We won't spur action by getting mad. The actions are already happening. Investigations opening and sanctions slamming home.
(13) So, instead, I laugh. I played Six Degrees of Bill Clinton, and while as Debradelai said it probably caused some confirmation bias based on my search patterns, I had FUN.
(14) I've seen the liberal trolls from Seth Abrakadabra Magic Secrets descend in mass, and I just laughed, called them fascists, and played computer games that whole night. It didn't matter. Still going to get my revenge btw, its gonna be big and beautiful, let me tell you
(15) Now, the Stealthy Jeff meme has inserted itself into reality as we realize, oh crap, Sessions WAS hiding what he was having his people look into, and now he's about to blow the lid off of the most corrupt administration we've seen in decades, possibly ever. And I laugh
(16) As of now, I've given up the anger and frustration. Our legislative branch is absurd with how it operates. The corruption is insane in how blatant it is. I freaking used GOOGLE to find this crap, its so obvious not even search algorithms can hide it
(17) The inevitable holiday political talk with relatives who are cosmically GUARANTEED to be on the exact opposite spectrum of you will be more intense than ever this year
(18) So when I'm stuck lacking bourbon and caught in a discussion with a sneering liberal, I'm just going to laugh. At this point, the past 2 years have been too funny to NOT laugh. /end
