You're obviously not aware that most African countries are EXEMPT from most tariffs.
Just go to trade-tariff.service.gov.uk/trade-tariff/s… put in a product and then click on the Import Tab.
You will probably see a lot of ZEROs. Mostly for poor countries.
But that's not the end of it. Botswana, Cameroon, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Mauritius, Namibia, the Seychelles, South Africa, Swaziland and Zimbabwe all have economic partnership agreements (EPA) with the EU.
And Cape Verde Is a Generalised System of Preferences Plus country (GSP+).
All these agreements result in zero tariffs on nearly everything.
