Since @Obscurus_Lupa @MarzGurl and @gookygox broke the silence about the crappy behind the scenes of CA, I guess I should come forward too. There's a possibility that if you're following it's because I was "Twitter Doug" aka the person managing their twitter...
How it happened? In 2009 I was finishing my bachelor and thesis was about how social media can help companies, focusing on twitter which wasn't that well known. So one day I reach out to Michaud about it and suggested that tgwtg needed one, so he said "you do it!" So I created it
For the next 5 years I tweeted every video and did Q&As about the site pro bono. He once sent me a few DVDs signed by Doug and a signed kickassia pic which was awesome. After that, I reached out a couple of times suggesting to add a Twitter link on the site, he did but deleted it
after that, the only contact with the staff was with @gookygox which we became sisters thanks to it. I enjoyed tweeting updates and became very close friends with some of the producers so it was a way of helping them out. Now to the sour part...
Being so close to the producers and @gookygox was a double edge sword because I knew about all the shitty things happening backstage and seeing how screwed up it was, it made me fall out of love with the site. The last straw was the nasty thing they did to Holly.
After she left, I stayed for a couple more months, even if I didn't care about CA anymore. Til one day I was done and wrote a heartfelt letter to Michaud, thanking him for letting me do this for 5 yrs and that I hope he finds someone good to do it. He never replied. my ❤ was 💔
I waited 2 weeks for him or someone to say something, even sent a message to Doug and nothing. Since I didn't wanna let those 80k to rust, I messaged the only person I knew who was faithful and would be thrilled to do it; @DodgerOfZion
A few days later Michaud sent me a message saying that we needed to talk, but I was working so I saw it a few hrs later and replied, but he never said anything again. It was the 1st and last time he said anything to me. My guess was that he wasn't happy I gave power to dodger
Weeks passed by and I learned from a trusted source that Michaud wanted to delete @tgwtg account and start a channel awesome acc from scratch deleting all 80k followers that I made in over 5 years. That really hurt like a fucker
So either me or dodger were going to get boot and had @tgwtg deleted which is the dumbest solution I could think of. That acc has Roger Ebert's tweet to NC (which that framed tweet he has, I sent it to him) no way they'll see that without me. Too many good memories there
About @tgwtg getting hacked... I can't talk about it at the moment because it's a sensitive topic, but yes. I know who took the account away. Maybe soon I'll get to talk about that chapter, but for now, can't say much. Lame, I know. That's about it. In a way tgwtg got saved
Well I should go head and say it.. Oh boy... without thinking it twice, I was the one who "hacked" the account back. I didn't want Michaud or anyone else in staff to have an account that I worked so hard for so many years, for the caveman to come and destroy it all.
What happened in the golden age of tgwtg was too good to let it died that way. So if you wanna relived those old memories and see the last few things done there, it is now named @Unawesomes
