I think it's about right. There's the human psychosocial element, in that we've had 54 years of Communist ideological subversion in the US in a non-stop, largely unopposed, high intensity level that's been denied & obfuscated by most folks. Either as nonexistent or a benefit.
Those that have denied it have ignored all the evidence of it as well as the serious ramifications of it's effects. Those that are all for it, think the subversions they've accepted as a better way of thinking, behaving, living & believing don't even realize how warped they are.
The Counter Active Measure Campaign began several years ago starting on youtube. It first started as an intentional operation from folks who knew of it's nature and origin, though it wasn't mentioned & videos showing 3rd wave feminism & mocking it ruthlessly using logic popped up
Those started to grow in popularity & the people making them began to grow in numbers organically, most of them without knowing the history & origins. Pretty soon they were everywhere & folks started researching it's history on their own, which there's ample material available.
Then about 5 years ago, with widespread knowledge of it's details, history & origin & major proponents, videos mocking cultural Marxism, postmodernism, critical social theory and all applications in US society were going up several times a day 7 days a week with massive views.
There was still one missing piece of the puzzle. Was it incidental or intentional & if so, Intentional by idiotic Americans or someone else with a malevolent intent. No one had really asked those questions, but some folks, like myself & quite a few others already knew the answer.
Actually, we knew the answer to that question in 1961 when Anatoliy Golitsyn defected from the USSR & was debriefed by Jim Angleton, who detailed most of the elements & features of a complex, multifaceted long term strategic deception campaign to destroy the US without warfare.
In 1970, Yuri Bezmenov defected, a KGB propaganda developer, he brought with him the materials that filled in the exact details of every level & element of the operation, what parts of society & government were targeted & how & how they were getting into the US. It was shocking.
In 1983, after Angleton had failed to win the war from inside the CIA, took it thee streets & he and a few trusted colleagues helped get Yuri Bezmenov into the public eye & talking about it. He did a several year lecture tour & interviews, some films of which are still available.
Golitsyn published the fist book detailing his defection account in 1984. Bezmenov continued his lectures, util he learned there was a death notice on him & went back into obscurity in 1990 & in 1993 (after the "collapse" of the USSR, he was assassinated.
Golitsyn never came out of witness protection & had been there since 1961 & there had always been a death notice on him. He sent his materials to Christopher Story, of former British agent, who took them to the publisher. They only ever spoke by phone.
The Russians were desperate to find him & the death notice remained even after Perestroika. In 1994 he published his final portion of the account in a book called The Perestroika Deception, enraging the Russians. Everything in both books has been proven right by events since.
He was even widely hunted under Putin's regime who especially hated him as Putin was also a KGB officer. He died peacefully in 2008 of cancer. In 2016, word began to spread widely about that still ongoing campaign. People are now increasingly aware that the Cold War never ended.
There's always been a flutter of it in US society, but never widely disseminated or accepted. Not until the evidence of it was impossible to deny & it's effects had virtually devastated our society & destroyed our country entirely. Trump is who has made fighting it winnable.
So your 50/50 chance estimate is about right. It was 20/80 in their favor up until the Counter Active Measures & Counter Disinformation Campaign became popular & started shifting numbers to us. Now it's up to us to keep fighting this war using the tactics of this type of warfare
Once more & more people know that they've been intentionally fucked with, who by & how they've been fucked with & what it's effect on their thinking & reasoning has been they take their hand off the hot stove, as it were & rather that be it's victims, they become it's destroyers.
That's how we've been growing the likelihood of winning since 2006 & it's how we'll crest over 50/50 sooner than you think. It's just going to take more people waking folks up to this without sensationalizing it (it's bad enough) or wrapping unverified elaborations like occultism
Truman said of propaganda in 1950, that it's best antidote was plain unvarnished truth. Once they know plain facts (without window dressing) then the lies become ridiculous & rejected rather than remaining dangerous. It's just Communism. Not the Illuminati, or magic, or Satan.
