Ok.
Begged Bernie's staff Feb to use a website I built to "flip the (elected) superdelegates" in states Sanders won.
They refused the tool & strategy until far too late.
After NY writing was on the wall. I read the CA Constitution & researched the history of the open primary 1/
Article 2 read "open" in b&w. Multiple lawyers confirmed there was a strong constitutional fight to make but lacked the stones to mount a pro bono fight against a state govt. I again begged Bernie's team to use the info as the "file in" status deadline slipped by 2/
So I made a petition which was buried by MoveOn, & then attended CA Bernie rallies w hardcopies. We begged for a shout out (as he droned on about Marching on DC) to
Max signatures. We got a wink & a smile, a follow from his brother, but no useful acknowledgement of any kind 3/
So we created another website which generated letters to all the players in Sacramento and cc'ed a SacBee "reporter" (picked by his editor), the campaign & others. This too was ignored (& sidenote - aggressively blocked by FB, no surprise there) 4/
Made multiple calls to his office re the "write in" deadline - "write in" would have circumvented the "no president" Padilla Indie ballot, required a handcount, circumventing the Soros machines, & protected millions of voters. Triple win right? He didnt respond & did not file. 4/
After attending rallies, hustling signatures (and meeting many dead eyes on CA campuses. Long Beach U students. Wow.) We took it to Sac to deliver. We had media contacts notably a TYT producer & sent press releases. None showed. Which went well w 5/
The treatment we got in Sac. The hours they spent sending us from city block to city block (in 100+ heat), hours outside Brown's office, attitude of the staff in Padilla's office 6/
- perfectly representative of CA State gov't actions to manipulate & deliver - paled in comparison to the scene when we finally got into the Deputy Sec of State's office. Point blank: The candidate would have had to argue this. 7/
Which he didnt.
As to the blatant malfeasance of Padilla: 1 example is multiple members of his staff lied to us (re bipartisan 'cross over' ballots being avail in batches of 4M+ to accomodate the disenfranchised Indie voters.)
The actions (or lack) of Sanders' campaign matched those of Brown & Co. Difference was Sanders sold us $27 servings of koolaid even as he knew he would lose. The Wikileaks email re his 'deal' w HRC & his wife's destruction of Berlington may answer the 'why'.
There's more of course. But here's part of the remains. For my first time @threadreaderapp
