#mahadevapura Assembly Constituency is huge!
Area: 115 sq km. Pop: 4.31 Lakhs (2011)
In 2018 voters: 5 Lakhs -> Implies current pop is probably ~7 Lakhs!
(In Karnataka, ave constituency size : 2.2 lakh voters)
Growth: 35% since 2015!!
Property Tax: more than 500 cr.

Our mess is thx to “110 village syndrome”. Not CDP-based devlpment just CDP-based building sanctions!

So for the 7+ lakh pop, we have 1182 km road network, 311 bus stops. But public transport coverage is patchy. Thus 6-8 lakhs vehicles plying on ORR alone. Similar LACK OF INFRA for garbage, water pipelines, sewerage...

Bellandur, Varthur are ‘famous’ around the world. 22 years ago, Bellandur water declared unfit for drinking. While Expert Committee Report gathers dust.
Not just that, we have 30+ lakes! But even recently rejuvenated lakes like @kaikhallilake face issues. (Map: @HariniNagendra)

Look at the vegetation loss in the stretch between Bellandur & Varthur in 3 years (2014-17) (Map:@rajbhagatt). Sarjapur Road has lost most of its magnificent old trees, parts of the constituency look like a sea of buildings. Not surprising that our PM 2.5 exceeds safe levels.

Vote wisely people! We need somebody to work with us in making this place liveable again!
Your vote's not just for an MLA but a moral support for your fellow citizens actively working on neighbourhood issues. Not voting undermines their work too, that's far more tragic.
