This International Nurses Day is a good reminder of the vital role nurses play in the society. We particularly celebrate nurses who go deep into hard-to-reach communities to help people access primary healthcare.

Our partnership with GE Healthcare at LUTH's school of nursing and midwifery was for us a step closer towards giving Nigerian nurses the voice to influence the community, provide quality healthcare, and be a voice of enlightenment in the community.

A quick study and a brilliant scholar, he had joined the colonial development organisation straight from the university. In quick time, his abundant talents were recognised and he was being deployed to relieve regional managers whilst technically still in training.
Still in his late twenties, he had even been given delicate diplomatic assignments that involved meeting with and influencing top regional political leaders. His already princely remuneration was growing in tandem with his fast tracked trajectory to the top.

1.This thread is a response to various Twitter discussions and arguments about psychiatry, mental illness, psychopharmacological agents, diagnosis, etc. I will acknowledge some friends and colleagues and include a detailed list at the end.
2. So credentials and disclosures first. I am a psychiatrist and work in an NHS early intervention in psychosis service. I am also a researcher with a wide range of research interests and a very narrow range of research achievements.

I was trying not to say anything because I rock with everyone involved (well, not that man with the suit vest, lol), but this has been one of the most uncomfortable things I have ever witnessed on this app. It’s worth thinking about what can/must be learned from it.
Firstly, @DjChubbESwagg didn’t deserve this. Period. But I’ll get back to that.
I adore Timothy, I admire her work and I’ve seen her make space for Black folk, de-center herself, etc. I worked w her on coverage when I was an editor and she was a great help to us. And not on the “she got my name on a list” way folks are suggesting abt “Blue Checks.”
