Today is a tough day. It’s been 1 year since I had to say goodbye to #TeamWarren and a big dream... to see Elizabeth Warren elected as President.

Hey #TeamWarren, just wanted to say that it's ok to be angry. You can be angry at both the Biden and Sanders camps, the way the media treated Warren, and even the voters who lacked the courage to vote for her.

As far as when you're ready to choose, you may have your own criteria, mine are:
1) The administration where @ewarren will have the *most* influence.
2) The campaign with the biggest policy overlap.
So I'm supporting Sanders going forward.

This does not mean that I am not upset at how things went down, but I do believe that Biden et Al and the political establish screwed over Liz just as much as the Sanders camp did. This is a pragmatic decision about who will most perpetuate the survival of the planet and humanity

I felt so proud and emotional voting for @ewarren today. 13 yrs ago, I emailed her asking to join her empirical methods class. I was a transfer and was told that some professors wouldn't give me the time of day. She was kind, encouraging, and responded almost immediately.
Going to her class was intimidating and exhilarating at the same time. She pushed us to think beyond legal doctrine and to consider the consequences of the law in people's lives. It was clear she cared deeply about her students and improving people's lives more broadly.
Later when I broke down in her office hours telling her my life story and why I wanted to study bankruptcy and financial failure, she encouraged and inspired me. From then on she made it clear she was in my corner and would help in any way she could.
I would really like to support #ElizabethWarren. Her platform and campaign match up with my values and interests, and I believe she can defeat Tr*mp, especially after her debate performance in Nevada. 1/
Which is why I am so frustrated that @ewarren has not engaged w/ Cherokee & other Indigenous writers, scholars, & activists who have clearly & repeatedly explained why her Cherokee ancestry claim and DNA stunt do continuing harm, & why her apology is insufficient. 2/

What a precious opportunity to tell undecided Iowa voters that if they’re worried about defeating @realDonaldTrump on Nov. 3, they should caucus for @ewarren who can...
▪️drive turnout from Iowa to Michigan with her big, bold ideas. I’ve seen it in the college students from every direction who have come to work for @IAforWarren to engage caucus-goers, and high schoolers too young to vote out knocking thousands of doors.
▪️bring all ends of the political spectrum together with her anti-corruption platform that everyone can get behind. A retired school teacher I talked to promised to text me after she caucuses for Warren. We had such a deep conversation about our shared values, we’re now besties!
This is the plan I've been waiting for. What makes Warren such a uniquely suited candidate is that she built a federal agency from the ground up. That experience will be incredibly important as we work to restore effective American governance after Trump. #Warren2020 #TeamWarren
2. Just want to provide some more context for why I believe this. In 2009, Tammy Duckworth asked me to move to DC to lead the effort to build VA's first office of digital media. VA wasn't communicating with veterans online. When I arrived, I had no staff, no budget and no policy.
3. We had to carve the office out of existing funds, navigate the hiring process to find the best people and write our own policy that took 18 months. It was intense and took 100% focus. It's hard to even contemplate creating an entire agency.

Today I let @brashcan know that I’d be supporting @ewarren in the primary here in #georgia. It took me a long time to come to that conclusion. You see, I have been a Bernie fan since 2015. Still am. Bernie started a movement and speaks to a side of me that is fed up. (1/8)
A side of me that’s pissed off and knows that we can do better. Bernie’s commitment to the same ideals and struggles for his whole life is admirable and worthy of our respect. (2/8)
I saw Warren speak in February of 2019 and I left feeling uniquely impacted by her story, her growth, her passion. To this day, the only politician I’ve ever seen speak that can illicit an emotional reaction out of my the way @ewarren can was @staceyabrams. (3/8)
