@TedLasso @SundayShare10 #SundayShare #TedLasso

Coach Beard would prioritise discipline and attention to detail, instructing young players on the value of focus and preparation.
His focus will be on tactical understanding, helping children develop a deep understanding of the game and how to read the field.

It’s sad to see that the @TedLasso fandom is full of some of the same toxic-kind of fans found in #OUAT and #TWD.

Trust and know, this is NOT my first rodeo with you beasts and I will block with abandon to clear the field like I’ve done before.

1/
What this brand of “fan” always fails to realize it that how YOU see the world and YOUR agenda is not truth or fact.

It’s YOUR opinion.

You do NOT get to infer then decide something based on YOUR opinion and declare that it is the truth and then attack others over it.

2/
The LAST word on what I say, tweet or do is MY word.

I don’t lie or play clean-up. All my tweets remain.

I own what I say and ONLY what I say, NOT what you fail to comprehend.

I correct for clarity when need be & then it’s done.

I don’t play with my good name.

A #TedLasso editing 🧵about my favorite 303. Richmond's win streak montage was 20 scenes and a joyful creative puzzle. Jason wrote index cards and we cut the story to flow to the classic tune by Adriano Celentano’s Prisencolinensinainciusol. All gibberish but All Right!
Each stack of cards is a new day in the montage, color coded by themes. A great storytelling tool when the show's so-called "final rewrite" happens in the editing room at WB studios. 💜🎞️🎬
After auditioning several cues, Jesus Christ Superstar became the perfect needledrop for Zava as a soccer God among mortals. The bicycle kick shot is an homage to Pele’s bicycle kick in “Escape to Victory” - and Zava is “like Pele. If every letter was different!” 💜⚽️

Premium TV shows using Britain as their production hub include #HouseOfTheDragon, Amazon’s #LordOfTheRings series, #TedLasso and #TheCrown. The soaring production demand has created a shortage of stage space — and burn out concerns among crews. latimes.com/entertainment-…
Britain’s generous film incentives — a 25% cash rebate that applies to actors’ salaries and other so-called above-the-line costs — have been a big draw for the studios behind movies like #Wicked, #FastX, #Barbie and #Wonka. latimes.com/entertainment-… Image

Ted Lasso is a modern Wizard of Oz story. 🧵
#TedLasso #WizardofOz
The Wizard of Oz classic, released in 1939, is comprised of three distinct parts: Dorothy’s life in Kansas, her dreamlike Oz experience (which debuted the cutting-edge technology of Technicolor at the time), and her return home. 2/
In part 1, we meet Dorothy and her Kansas family, Aunt Em and Uncle Henry, as well as her three uncles.

In the Apple TV+ show, Ted Lasso, TheoDORE is DORothy. His Kansas family is Michelle (Aunt “M”) and son, Henry. 3/

I've been sitting on this one for a bit, some of you have heard it in parts, but I've finally consolidated my thoughts into one little thread: The significance of the Army Men in #TedLasso, and who Ted gave them to.
Rebecca: The figure he gives her is in a defensive pose - and he places it on the desk, purposely between her and the door - it's protective and he says as much. He wants her to feel safe. It also speaks to Ted's instinctual reaction to Rebecca, and his want to support her.
...Also it touches on their soulmates/guardian angels thread, that is just in the early stages at this point. With Rebecca & the Army Man, Ted's motivations are a lot more overt, but the underlying theme is subtle and gives a lovely insight into what's to come for them as a unit.

While watching #TedLasso, American wife asks me, her usual cultural translator for all things British, questions like "what exactly is offside" and "how long do relegated teams have to stay in the lower league"

I got nothing cos I've never been into soccer. 🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️ We google it.
I'm like, listen, you wanna know about Ranji Trophy relegation and front foot no ball rules? I'm your guy. But the British Soccer League, I'm as American about as you are. All I know is relegation puts a penalty on continuing to New York Jets your way through seasons lol.
So in recent years, the Jets have been the villain in a Curb Your Enthusiasm episode and also been insulted on Ted Lasso and I find it absolutely hilarious.

Some thoughts on Nate from #tedlasso that folks aren’t talking about … (spoilers ahead)
There were several moments in the series I felt super uncomfortable. Not because Nate was “going bad.” Mostly because I’m an immigrant / minority.
In one scene, Nate has the very reasonable request to reserve the window table at his favorite neighborhood restaurant for his parents’ anniversary. Even though he asks early and the eatery is usually empty, the host says no

As a therapist and someone who lost 3 family members last month, I believe #TedLasso is not only doing incredible things in tv as art, but is also an example of how media can help the world heal from grief: a thread (spoilers ahead)
1) I think grief is the most fundamental emotion we experience as a human race. I believe it is at the core of all of the uncomfortable emotions we feel. It’s also the most nuanced and complex because it is so visceral and painful.
2) Which is part of why our first response is escape (also why I’ve done an embarrassingly deep dive into @brettgoldstein work and why I regularly imagine I’m on his podcast. His work is great! You should check it out! but I digress). Ted lasso first offers us escape.

#TedLasso won at the #Emmys for comedy series. In one of the show's scenes, this 26,000-seat stadium looks filled to the brim, but what most people don't know is the crowd is mostly made of fake people who weren't even filmed in a stadium.
This soccer scene was filmed during the pandemic, so in order to keep actors safe and to limit the number of extras on set, production team @Barnstorm_VFX had to get creative using fake people.
In order to make the shot look real, the Barnstorm team used a few different techniques including crowd tiling, plate extras, and motion-capture animation.
