Let’s give some background ahead of our court case in Mississippi today. (1/9)
Initially, there was a proposal from the disgraced Cambridge Analytica to @LeaveEUOfficial to work on their political advertising and targeting. They did not reach an agreement BUT @LeaveEUOfficial decided to integrate CA’s tactics of psy ops and voter manipulation. (2/9)
We believe that at the beginning LEU didn’t have access to enough data to effectively use these tactics. However, Eldon Insurance and Big Data Dolphins did. (3/9)
.@andywigmore stated in his interview with Dr Emma Briant ‘Um, so, if you take… You talk about data. So you have a lot of data when you’re an insurer.’ (4/9)
EI and BDD are companies registered in the UK with offices in Mississippi. We believe that these companies are holding British Citizen’s data in Mississippi due to Brittany Kaiser’s testimony in parliament and AW’s interview. It is illegal to store British data overseas. (6/9)
After this revelation, we secured a temporary injunction to preserve any data being stored on these servers. Now, EI and BDD are actively fighting this suit. Why would insurance companies from the UK fight a simple data preservation order if there’s nothing to hide? (7/9)
The Information Commissioner’s Office has stated that it strongly supports The Fair Vote Project in its pursuit of this data and that the ICO itself would like to investigate the data in question. (8/9)
Today, our Project Director Kyle Taylor will testify in Mississippi on our case to obtain a permanent injunction on these servers. We will keep you updated as the case progresses. (9/9)
The case starts in about 20 minutes! There is no devices allowed but we will update when we can.
Finally have an update for you! So, the case has been separated into two hearings. One to determine jurisdiction and one to preserve the data. Yesterday’s jurisdictional hearing went on for a grueling five hours of intense testimony, much longer than expected. (1/7)
The defendants attempted to suggest they did not have a significant enough relationship with the University to be under their jurisdiction for this legal matter despite having a signed lease agreement for thousands of square feet of office space in the University’s (2/7)
“Insight Park”, years of well-documented meetings and the release of 2017 audio interviews with Andy Wigmore, a once director of Eldon Insurance, boasting about already conducting Cambridge Analytica-style data experiments in Mississippi with British Eldon Insurance data. (3/7)
One of their main defenses was saying that @andywigmore is a ‘PR guy' who was just trying to hype up the abilities of Eldon Insurance and Big Data Dolphins. (4/7)
This was contradicted when they suggested Big Data Dolphins was undertaking data modelling learned from meetings with Cambridge Analytica in the UK, not Mississippi, exactly as Wigmore described in the tapes. (5/7)
If true, millions of UK citizens could be currently having information about their lifestyle, their credit check and other information taken for insurance purposes used in sophisticated data modelling projects planned for political gains. (6/7)
The Fair Vote Project immediately made the ICO and DCMS Select Committee aware of this claim in its ongoing effort to protect British citizens’ and residents’ data from misuse.

The case continues today and we will update when we can. (7/7)
The case has just resumed! Meanwhile, Alexander Nix is being questioned in parliament. What a day.
