Here’s a great Brexit story. A friend at work has been dating a teacher from New Zealand. She’s just been kicked out of the UK

She earns below the Government’s required salary level to get a new work visa. BECAUSE SHE’S A TEACHER on a Government salary

So now she’s back in NZ even though the school are willing to sponsor her visa and even though she wants to be in the UK.

The demand for overseas workers from outside the EU caused by Brexit means there aren’t enough visas available

So she’s not in the UK, contributing to the economy. My friend now has to manage a love affair at great distance. And most importantly of all...

30 primary school kids now don’t half a teacher for the second half of this term. They are being taught by a Teaching Assistant instead

(The school had advertised the role for 3 months first time round. This lady was the sole applicant.)
