This week in 2006, the CIA tortured 3 prisoners to death in a secret black site at the Guantanamo Bay prison & attempted to cover up the murders by claiming they were suicides.
Mani al-Utaybi, age 30; Yasser al-Zahrani, age 20; & Ali Abdullah Ahmed, were all murdered by the CIA on June 9, 2006 in GTMO. The official story of their deaths is preposterous; guards checked on the prisoners every 4 minutes. Journalist Scott Horton recounts the US gov's story
A detainee, Ali Saleh al-Marri, held in a US Navy brig described having rags stuffed down his throat, and then having his mouth and nose taped shut; a technique called 'dry-boarding'. Rags were also stuffed down the throats of the 3 prisoners murdered at Guantanamo Bay.
We only know about the murders of these detainees because of a whistleblower, staff sergeant Joseph Hickman was working in a guard tower at Guantanamo Bay; he knew the official US government story was a lie & went to the media.

Joseph Hickman believes the CIA murders of the prisoners were likely retaliation for their going on hunger strike & encouraging other prisoners to do the same.

Journalist and researcher Jeffery Kaye has also done important work proving there was a cover-up of the CIA murders at Guantanamo Bay. To this day, the three murdered have received no justice from the US government. medium.com/@jeff_kaye/new…
