Old news by now, but omg this is still hilarious:
Kobach, who represented his own office and is a Yale Law grad, suffered sick sick burns from the judge regarding his apparent legal ineptitude (in addition to losing the case).

By way of administering those burns to Kobach, the judge called him out for not "familiariz[ing] himself with the governing rules of procedure" & ordered him to complete 6 hours of legal education on "federal or Kansas civil rules of procedure or evidence" nyti.ms/2ljRq0d
This guy wants to be governor of a state but couldn't bother to prepare himself for his own trial and didn't even know enough about his own state's procedures to make it look like he was at least trying.
Well, you know what they say about people who represent themselves in court.
