Brilliant, brilliant point here.

This is politics in a free republic. Sometimes that means being in the minority and taking a kick square in the teeth. It sucks. It happened to us with the ACA. And with the Iran deal too. We got over it.
To all of my friends on the left, I want you to take what you're feeling today and understand that THIS is why we protested the ACA and the Iran deal. NOT because of the color of anyone's skin.
Now ... maybe, just MAYBE ... we can all start to work TOGETHER to find a way to ensure that D.C. is never again strong enough to create decisions that leave ANY of us feeling the way you do now.
You probably have a good 6 more years to think about it. I hope all of my friends on the left will consider the folly of allowing so much power to accumulate in one place, where one small group can make such momentous decisions.

I’ve been RTing a lot of predictions for the election in two days. But I haven’t offered my own prediction. Mostly because I don’t do predictions. I don’t pretend to know the future. But I am pretty good at understanding strategies, and how those impact the future.
So, here is my prediction on this election:

Unlike those who feel this is the most important mid-term election of our lifetime, I don’t think this midterm is that much more important than any other election. And I feel that way for the same reason most say this is so important:
Trump.

I have come to understand his political strategies through a sales/marketing filter. We all know that Trump spent most of his life as a master salesman/marketer/negotiator. If you look at the possible results of this election as a marketer, all you see is opportunity,

Perhaps this is as good a time as any to point out that, over the past 9 years EVERYONE who cares deeply about politics has felt this at least twice, regardless of what side of the aisle we’ve been on.
America was not supposed to be a land where the side in power was supposed to rub the other side’s nose in it. That’s why each state was supposed to have most of the power as to how it’s citizens chose to live. (Yes, other than slavery. I know.)
To those who felt helpless when the government took over 1/6 of our economy, let’s remember that feeling. And to those who today feel hopeless, it’s time to come together, not to force one set of answers for all 330 million of us, but to find new ways for us all to live together.

So this is what Comicsgate says they want:
1. Hire people based on merit. Pay your dues and you eventually get your own title, Noone jumps the line because of race sex whatever
2. Retain people based on sales
3. Don't attack the customers. in a word professionalism
4. Minimize politics in stories.
I’m actually happy to see this because until now, I’ve never seen no two supporters have been able to tell me. Here’s what they have wrong, point by point.
1. Hiring people based on “merit”. Comics are not now, nor have they
ever been a meritocracy. It’s an entertainment production. It’s based on talent first and then your ability to produce within the provided guidelines. People move up in the ranks based on their popularity with readers and in a lot of ways, their editors/ publishers.

Again: MISLEADING headline. It's UNTRUE that most disagree. And it's presented as if only those two attorneys think Trump CAN be indicted. MANY think he can bc NOWHERE does the law say he can't. Ask @RepAdamSchiff and @tribelaw
2. But what matters here is that lawyers dealing with Mueller's team disagree, MEANING: Mueller is obviously considering indicting Trump. And THAT means he has a MOUNTAIN of evidence and witnesses corroborating it. Focus on this, bc this is HUGE news.
3. One of these lawyers expects Mueller to move as early as this spring. Which means, in two months we may have at least litigation (Scotus) to indict Trump.

Who are these two foreign pilots flying around Indian PM in the #seaplane? Shouldn't this be a security issue? Or is it normalization of things to come? Stay tuned for our <thread> on the issue.
2 Is a Prime Minister allowed to fly aboard a single engine aircraft as per GoI protocol? What about one that is flown by foreign pilots? Why cant this #SeaPlane been flown by IAF pilots? More than any protocols entire Indian military is being bypassed here, what does that mean?
3 So the #seaplane in which our PM was flown in came directly from Pakistan & was flown by foreign pilots! And our Indian security forces allowed that???
