There is a position within FBI Counterespionage that is a joint CIA gig (Campi 2018 promotion shows the position). I do not know if Strzok was in this joint CIA position in 2015-early 2016 before he was promoted to DAD. But he was section chief in early 2016.

Ekapol was an orphan who lost his nuclear family at age 10 to a disease that swept through his village in northern Thailand. Relatives looked after him till he was 12 before sending off to a monastery. He was said to be "sad & lonely".
He then trained to be a monk but left the monastery to care for his ailing grandmother in Mae Sai in northern Thailand. There, he split his time between a working as a temple hand at a monastery and training the then newly-established Moo Pa team.
