Oh, this whole thread, but especially this.
The most challenging thing for me these days is that while researchers in my field are usually pretty good (not always but usually) some patient partners have not yet gotten the memo. But because of the power dynamics, I can't call them on it like I would a researcher.
It does not escape my notice that patient-partnered research (e.g., @CIHR_IRSC's SPOR) requires a lot of relationship building and maintenance, and a lot of that non-CV-able, behind-the-scenes work is being shouldered by women.
