Took some time today to revisit the best DIY story of 2017.

After other forum posters yell at him to stop what he's doing because he's destroyed his floor he throws several circular tantrums, but eventually cools down and hires a professional to fix his mistake.
As the dust settles he starts to explain what his plan was (he was v. coy about "the surprise" of the rocks and stuff) he says he's doing it to "impress females because they have all the decision making power when buying a house."
The women on the forum call him out on this because 1) "feeeeeeeemales" and 2) his design is super macho and doesn't actually have features women want.
He then doubles, triples, and quadruples down on his god given right to call women "females."

He is eventually put on probation for polling the forum on whether or not women should be bothered by being called females by asking the men if they care about being called males, as the thread collapses into endless mockery.
This called attention to the fact that five years earlier (which would have been his late 20s, lest you think the following is teen folly) he had been probated for soliciting recommendations for a "tentacle rape party" at which point the thread basically melted.
Tomorrow I'll recount the story of the dude who built a zipline for a summer camp with a 143 foot vertical drop tower-to-tower, bringing a test sandbag up to around 55-65 miles per hour by the time it reached the receiving platform.
