I might actually have give a shit about the brigading going on, trying to tell me Antifa are the instigators of violence, if I hadn't watched a wall of 'Tommy' supporters yesterday try to break through to fight those at an anti-racism protest.
I didn't see Antifa bringing flares to intimidate and scare horses. I did see that from the 'Tommy' supporters.
Didn't see Antifa abusing media and police during yesterday's proceedings. Saw lots from tomato-faced goons like this.

Our first day in Vienna found us in an @Airbnb, notable for the tiny white flecks of leather peeling off the bd headboard, dodgy wiring and the fragrant waft of decades old tobacco. All part of the charm, though, right?
We had a full day of sightseeing ahead of us, but I want to highlight the chapel we'd walk past on the way to the U-Bahn.

Built in the 18th century, it's the only of 20 left that used to circle the city.

This network eschews tactics of the traditional Far Right - marches, mainly - in favour of a media-savvy approach that is cheeky, subversive & imbues a sense of belonging. A 'Diet Fascism', egged on & informed by ‘Alt-Right’ successes in the US - & the influence of Steve Bannon.
Completely central to this network is the use of live-streaming, online video and crowdfunding tech. Once put in place, it doesn't need shadowy backers. It simply uses donations, garnered from online appeals in regular videos. A perpetual motion machine of hate.

It would be a shame if Twitter and Facebook died off and we had to return to the stone age days of self-policing blogs and message boards
It was pretty evident by 2000 that comment sections were the worst thing on the internet. This dump is pretty much every shitty comment section all thrown into one, monetized and weaponized.
When I was actively blogging I discovered a great way to keep crazies out of my comment section: I didn't have one. I had no interest in building a "community" and genuinely didn't give a shit about hosting feedback, positive or negative.
