The BBC has released an official statement: "Panorama asked for access to all the evidence, but that was not forthcoming." This is not true. Panorama had access to exactly the same underlying evidence as the Observer, the @nytimes & subsequently @Channel4News.
They were walked through 2 folders of evidence by a leading QC. It's the same evidence was given to the Electoral Commission. Who has - we know now - found Vote Leave guilty in its preliminary report.
It's astonishing that BBC is seeking to defend this. If it was left up to the BBC, we still would not know the truth about Cambridge Analytica & Facebook! How can it defend that??
