Men are allowed to be angry. Men are allowed to act like petulant children and still be taken seriously. Trump just manages to take that dynamic miles further than it’s ever been.
Hell, can you imagine if @AOC had slammed a table during a discussion with colleagues and stormed out of a meeting? Fox News would run coverage on that for days, if not weeks. Women, especially young women, especially women of color, are not freely extended the luxury of anger.

If you had told me a plot point of a movie was the villain attempting to ruin the career of an elected official by showing a video of them quite capably recreating the dance from “The Breakfast Club” in college, I’d have assumed it was some really bad Disney Channel flick.
Like... a kids movie where the villain is written like a 2x4 plank to the head in crayola.
The end of the movie is a big musical number and features Ally Sheedy—whom the producers have ironically cast as the villain in a wink to adult viewers—experiencing a redemption arc and leading the cast in a group dance.

On Oct 26 2006 Congress passed The Secure Fence Act 120 STAT. 2638 PUBLIC LAW 109–367 with 283 votes in the House & 80 in the Senate, including unanimous Democratic support. This included $20 billion in funding for multi layer fencing along about 600 miles of the US-Mexico border
This wasn't a solid 600 miles of continuous fencing along the border, this was bits and pieces, mostly erected with surplus Marston Mats used by the Military to laydown in areas that the ground isn't solid enough to handle landing gear, the military has mountains of it.
in 2007 Congress made clear it didn't really mean what it said. The new law was amended to make fence building optional. so you ended up with very little fencing and $20 billion pretty much unaccounted for, dispersed to heavens knows where. No one was held accountable for the $$

In September of 2017, Richard Spencer had a rally in Gainesville, FL. Afterwards, three people ended up getting arrested for allegedly shooting at a counter-demonstrator: Tyler Tenbrink was charged with attempted murder, and Will and Colton Fears were charged as accessories.
Tenbrink is still awaiting trial. Will Fears's charges were dropped, but Colton has pleaded guilty and will testify against Tenbrink.

But this is not the story I want to tell. This is just the background.

We have a 100 days until Election Day. To each one of my followers, I ask you to engage directly with your time and energy into these midterms. Imagine if Trump keeps the House? He will be incredibly emboldened: ACA gone, immigration laws changed forever. It's unacceptable.
So I'm asking each one of my followers in joining me to take action in the midterms. Find your closest race and engage. There are House races throughout the country. If you live in a state with a Senate race, please help. Dems can take the Senate back, but it takes all of us.
First off we still have a special election. @dannyoconnor1 in OH12. His race is in days. The GOP is pouring in money to save an R district, but Danny is a great candidate & there is a ton of enthusiasm. Please help with financial support for Danny, make calls or #postcardstovote
