Home Office confirms to me that in @AmberRuddHR's almost two-years tenure as Home Secretary, she only visited an immigration detention centre once, in 2016.

None in 2017 or 2018.

Never Yarl's Wood or any other.

No interest in the people indefinitely detained by her department?
So even after media reports, Panorama exposé, hunger-strikes, wrongful detentions/removals in those two years, @AmberRuddHR never felt the need to meet any victims of rape or torture or trafficking who she was detaining indefinitely?

Hope @sajidjavid takes a different approach.
Not to mention the fact that I made this request for information when @AmberRuddHR was still Home Secretary but the Home Office took more than three months to reply, so she actually resigned during this time...
Shameful that a Home Secretary visited just one detention centre in 2 years.

No wonder @BrandonLewis et al claim all immigration detainees are "illegals" & no asylum seekers are detained. Zero interest in indefinitely detained people or their suffering.
