7/ An organization @splcenter has labeled as a hate group gathered enough signatures to put a measure on the Oregon ballot that would repeal the state’s sanctuary law, which stops local law enforcement officials from assisting ICE with deportations.
@splcenter 8/ Nancy Haque, the executive director of Basic Rights Oregon, part of a coalition of non-profit groups opposing the measure, said initiatives like that one add fuel to racial tensions in the state.

1/ Tech cos @Oracle, @PalantirTech & others gave some weak excuses for trying to keep their diversity numbers secret.

They said:

*Other companies would steal their workers.

*It would invade employee privacy.

*And the kicker: They'd face bad PR. revealnews.org/article/oracle…
2/ We challenged those excuses, suing the government. We won.

Now, government contractors can't hide their EEO-1 reports, which show their workforce broken down by race, gender and broad job category.

1) OK, let's try to keep 'antifa' and their violence in perspective, can we? And I say this as someone who’s been assaulted by Black Bloc activists on various occasions for the sin of being a journalist carrying a camera, mostly while covering alt-right ‘free speech’ events.
2) I can't say I am even remotely a fan of the antifascists' _tactics_. I also happen to believe that giving the fascists violence is what they want, and that any violence at all should be purely defensive. I believe mockery is infinitely more effective and more persuasive.

(thread) On Tue, Dec 12, 2017, shocking the Star Citizen backers, Crytek, the developers of the game's tech, and the creators of the visual effects used in the campaign that led its smashing success, sued both RSI (the parent company) and CIG for a litany of things.
Though I was aware of the background activities going on, and which I had hinted at in my blogs and social media, I couldn't say much about it. For one thing, I had NO reason to believe that RSI/CIG were dumb enough to get to the point whereby they would be sued - by anyone.
