A president who knows nothing about economics started a trade war which hurt farmers so he put them on welfare with money he's borrowing from the countries he started the trade war with.
So instead of PROFITING off the sale of American food to China, Trump's trade policy has the United States PAYING INTEREST to China while US farmers become dependent on the government because they aren't SELLING food to China.
I will never forgive NBC for convincing people that this dim-witted, grifting, failed casino owner with Russian mob ties is a "good" businessman.

Yes, this is not a permanent solution. He's given a temporary solution (short-term bail-out money) to a permanent problem he's created.

99.9% of Americans earn less than $10 million a year.

Taxing 0.1% of the population 70% on every dollar AFTER their first ten million would NOT harm the economy.

What other countries spend on health care & infrastructure, we spend on low taxes for the super wealthy.
This type of spending is GOOD for the economy since accumulated wealth doesn't circulate while the economic benefit of improved infrastructure, education and health care is MASSIVELY beneficial to productivity (not to mention quality of life for 320 million people).
I'm seeing this argument in conservative circles that taxing the rich is "unethical."

What utter horseshit.

What's unethical is letting people die in the street from inadequate health care just so some banker can afford a second yacht.

The GoFundMe for the Wall has raised about $3 million in 3 days.

I read the original NBC report (on which is was based) yesterday: nbcnews.com/politics/natio…. NBC's is the one that bothers me, because it was written by their "national security and military reporter" who covers, "intelligence and national security issues,"
as well as their other "national security reporter." This means they should have some passing familiarity with something as significant as the Gülen movement, right? But I'm guessing from the article they'd never heard of him before ("known as Gulenistas"?)
It's so weird that none of the reporting, the research, the investigations, the testimony about who he is and why he's a problem ever penetrates public consciousness. It's as if he's got a magic Sunshine-of-the-Spotless-Mind memory-eraser.
