So @LenoirForMayor puts out an attack ad that blogger @vibinc called “racist,” @MemphisFlyer editor @sylamore1 called racist and @ryanpoe of @memphisnews called “race-baiting” at worst - but who does Lenoir blame?

These three white guys?

His graphic designer?

Nope. Me.
See for yourself. Clockwise: Lenoir’s attack ad; @LeeHarrisfor901 on the set of @LocalMemphis with @Local24Richard and @OtisSanford; and Harris from his campaign website.

But @LenoirForMayor says he didn’t darken Harris’ picture?
@SandyDarity @DrPhilGoff - this was what I was talking about yesterday. Lenoir is the Republican candidate for mayor in Shelby County, which is 54 percent black.
But I’m “divisive”? So divisive that this national org invited me to moderate a panel between @donnabrazile and @MichaelSteele (both of whom are DELIGHTFUL and impressive examples of what it means to connect across the aisle).
So divisive that in 2007, I started Common Ground: Conversations on Race, Communities in Action, a race relations org in conjunction with @LeadershipMphs and David Williams, @BRIDGESUSA, Rabbi Micah Greenstein of @TIMemphis, then @NCRMuseum ED Beverly Robertson, @RhodesCollege
It’s ridiculous. I’m not going through my credentials. They’re impeccable. Full stop.

Lenoir and his advisers believe that attacking me will get him more votes.

I’m not on the ballot, of course. Election Day is Thursday. Vote.
@nhannahjones @rochelleriley @AMLwhere @mizamudio @MariahCBlake @deadlinedd @tanzinavega @jemelehill - tagging some fierce women journalists because whew. This is exhausting.
