A short important thread on DACA: 1- Those who have DACA, go ahead & put in your renewal application even if your status doesn’t expire in 150 days. USCIS will accept the renewal application for NOW. 2. As of Aug. 8 there could be a 🛑 stop on all renewals from a fed judge in TX.

On August 8, 2018, there will be a preliminary injunction hearing in Texas v. Nielsen (U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas – Judge Hanen).
Following the hearing, Judge Hanen will decide whether to issue a preliminary injunction against the DACA program, possibly ordering USCIS to stop accepting DACA applications, including applications for renewal. So advice is: RENEW NOW! #DACA #DREAMERS

There is no justice in immigration court. The judges are hired & fired by the racist Attorney General, Jeff Sessions. I go to court regularly and fight tooth & nail, but you should see how condescending & bias some of the immigration judges are. Not ALL-but most of recent hires
In Houston imm court, IJ M.G is so condescending & bias that it’s impossible to accomplish anything in his court room. Has an extreme paranoia that he may be filmed. When he sees a glare of light, he stops court proceedings to ask who is taking a picture & filming him. Repulsive!
Cc: @nytlizrobbins @nytimes thank you for the article on immigration judges also known as IJs. We need more articles to expose what’s happening in immigration courts across the country and to call out specific judges who are puppets of Jeff Sessions. No Due Process from them.

The ACLU of Michigan transferred this pro bono asylum case to me. Father & son are now in Houston. Father has ankle monitor. I’ll present their asylum case in court. “Ever R. Mejia was reunited with his 3 yr old son after 3 months of separation.” wsj.com/articles/as-go… via @WSJ
Last week I requested help for supplies (clothing, shoes, sanitary products, diapers, formula) for the pro bono asylum cases my firm is handling. My office received over 30 Amazon packages with for the refugee families. The great American spirit of helping others. Thank you! ❤️

Those accusing our organisations of sending female reporters to gain trp, you should know this. When we give them the slightest hint that things are not okay, first thing they tell us is "waha se niklo fataafat (leave from there immediately).
Saw a tweet that said only national channel reporters were attacked. Not Malayalam channels (later they were also targetted), because the latter have common sense. Yes, they do. Because they know you well? For those outside, Kerala is/was god's own country full of literates. Hmm.
Most reporters covering south for national channels are women. Same with @thenewsminute . All 6 reporters covering 5 south Indian states for @CNNnews18 are women. When additional reporters are required during a major news event, reporters from the nearest bureau are sent.
