NEW: In a now deleted posting on his website, a former Yeltsin adviser and famous Russian economist said on July 12, 2016 that @carterwpage "held secret talks in Moscow" web.archive.org/web/2016102811…
.@delyagin wrote that Page's lecture at the New Economic School "does nothing more than mask the negotiations on the relations between our countries after Trump's probable victory."
"As for the preferred course of events, it is not only for our country, but for the whole world that Trump needs to be the president of the United States."
Additionally, I've been given access to pictures and videos of Carter Page's 2nd speech in Moscow at a private commencement ceremony. This is where he met Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich. The list of speakers at the event was far more than just scholars.
Here are a few shots of Page at the private event in Moscow:
Speakers at the event:
Vladimir Mau (Economist, Gazprom board)
Andrey Sharonov (spoke right after Page, he’s former deputy mayor of Moscow, on board of VTB, Sovcomflot, etc)
Arkady Dvorkovich (Russian deputy PM)
Anatoly Akimenko - Vice President of Access Industries (not pic'd)
Here is Page mingling with Denis Klimentov, spokesman of the New Economic School, who also runs RusInfoService, a bizarre consultancy/PR/media business in NY and Moscow.
Klimentov was renting a townhouse in Maryland until July 3, 2016, when he abruptly left, leaving his place "full of items" according to the landlord. The landlord told me, "we had to have bulk trash remove the items and then we had to clean the house which came to $673..."
I talked to a few Russian experts, and all of them knew the name Delyagin. There were varying opinions about how well connected he is, but everyone agreed that he was influential in the 90s/early 00s and that he was a pro-Kremlin analyst.
h/t to @WriteSmitty who directed me to a version of the interview with Delyagin. Bravo.
I'll have much more on Carter Page in the coming days. Tick tock.
