I have read quite a number of tweets on here; most condemning the conditional cash transfer (CCT) & loans(10,000, 5O,000 & 100,000). While I know how meagre 10k is to most people here, it's important you know that 5k means a lot to millions of Nigerians..1/

@yinkanubi @DrJoeAbah Of the 1100 naira profit, each day, she pays 300 naira to the park tax collectors (Agberos) and transport herself to Iyana Ipaja with 300 naira daily. From the 500 naira balance, she usually use 300 naira to eat daily. So at the end of the day, she goes home with 200 naira...4/

@yinkanubi @DrJoeAbah @dollycent While we continue to advocate that government creates enabling environment for SMEs through critical infrastructures, policies etc. It's important to remember that, the handouts are also part of what is needed to start the engines of most petty traders.
