Adjusted for inflation this is about $735. Can you imagine if college cost $735.

Shout out to my uncle who once told me I should just work during college if I didn't want to take out student loans. I HAD THREE JOBS N STILL HAD TO TAKE EM.
My grades in college were kind of shitty bc I spent my days in at a weird think tank creating hs debate curriculum, my nights tending bar and my weekends teaching dance classes to small children.

I just cannot imagine taking two weeks of pay and just ... paying for college.
My god.

This makes me really angry for some reason.

Im not sure why the two scenarios are equivalent. McSally’s opponent was not actively managing his own election and polling locations in Arizona didn’t have near the problems those in Georgia did.
No one was praising McSally for simply walking away. People praised her for not inventing problems to be mad about - even if you disagree with the severity of problems in Georgia it is undeniable that they were present.
Just the idea that McSally would’ve stood down if Sinema was in charge of the election or if there were five hour lines in Republican strongholds coupled with massive machine failure and ongoing lawsuits is...not credible.

Hello journalists. Please do not retweet or quote claims about illegal ballot activity in Florida, Georgia or Arizona without fact checking those claims. You will help spread panic and mistrust and many of you already have.
And I’m mostly looking at you, national journalists. Local journalists are doing a fine job covering this accurately. All voting is local, and not all wild claims are news.
Journalists are part of the voting process. We are not apart from it. People do not look at the statements by their Secretary of State on a state website - they google and our work is there. If that work contains misinformation we meaningfully impact this system. Do good work.

1.) The college you attend doesn’t matter as much as you think it does, UNLESS it’s truly a top 10 program at a top 10 university (see: entrepreneurship at Babson).
2.) Be an engineer. Seriously, if you have the capacity for it, be an engineer. You’ll have job security and solid wages forever.
3.) Don’t let fear hold you back. Learn to quiet your lizard brain and always ask yourself, what’s the worst that could happen? Don’t be careful, don’t move slowly and don’t compromise. Taking risks will separate you from the people who are scared to, who are comfortable.

I grew up in poverty. My parents were the working poor. They hated being on food stamps but they needed them to feed me and my younger sister. My parents bought hamburger, potatoes, some vegetables, and grew a few that they could in their garden. My mother cooked our meals. 1/
2/. These food boxes are a terrible idea, IMO. Someone or several people at the top and probably Trump will profit off of this program and it's a further way to stigmatize and punish the poor for being poor. Also poor people know how to stretch money better than any politician.
3/ It's unnecessary. Poor people but the things they need at the grocery store and are perfectly capable of continuing to do so. There isn't a problem with food stamps. Trump, his administration and the Republicans hate the poor. As I was poor and then worked with people who
