He talks as of the entire country isnprepared to bash China militarily, which is not true. This rhetoric is unhelpful for the rest of the SCS countries.
I give him the benefit of the doubt that he is addressing a limited audience, and that his remarks are fit for that occasion as a rah-rah cheerleader yell. SCS countries should not make toi much of his comments.

1) Just thinking aloud on Twitter: I just saw a long-time acquaintance’s post on FB. (We members of a digital art community). I knew she’d lost a teenager some time ago to OD.
2) She never wrote much about that loss, and we’re 12 timezones or more apart, and I didn’t pry.
3) Recently, she wrote at length about her painful loss. And she mentions that her child was not able to get proper medical treatment because of ACA. Well shebused the O’care term.

Even your favorite President, the best, coolest one, can’t override the Constitution with an executive amendment. That’s how the Constitution is built, how the Supreme Court has ruled (in Youngstown v. Sawyer etc), and how America was designed from the start.
I’ve been thinking about executive orders, Constitutional amendments, Presidential power and how they interrelate this morning. Bottom line: the Constitution is the highest legal authority in the US, and all three branches of government are bound to its rules.
I think of the Constitution as designed as a sort of snapshot (or painting, considering when it was written) of a perfect America - one document describing the perfect society. That’s what the framers thought they were doing when they wrote it.

The latter. Assume this were a run-of-the-mill Title VII case; typically Plaintiff's attorneys strike at the point they have maximum leverage, which Ford had. You delay when you hope some external event will turn up useful info instead

She may very well be telling the truth. But the FBI is not going to investigate, because even if we assume she's telling the 100% truth, there's no *federal* crime that took place. It's a dodge.
